Hi. I am Sabrina, designer, printer, type lover and owner of "Small Caps" a letterpress studio in Berlin.
I am into letterpress for 7 years now and started my business with an Adana 8x5. I've printed the first custom wedding cards and all my greeting cards for the first 2,5 years on this little press.
As my business evolved I added two more printing presses to my studio - a proof press and a tradle press - to do larger print runs and to print at a larger size.
Today I teach workshops at my studio and help beginners with their first steps in letterpress.
I often see people loosing their enthusiasm about printing because they are tired of figuring all out by themselves.
I know that. I've been there.
Smudgy prints and low impressions kept me busy at the beginning. It took me much time to get nice print results and actually having fun with letterpress.
Staying motivated is criticial at the beginning. I will show you how to set up your tabletop press so you get nice and clean prints right away and feel successful.
There'll be also lots of ideas and tipps on what to print. We’ll slowly raise the level and tackle more complicated designs. At the end you’ll feel very confident in handling your press and everything that comes along with doing letterpress.
I'll share some insights on my business and provide tipps on creating your own stationery products for sale. I will talk about designing and printing for clients as well and we’ll have inspiring interviews with other letterpress business owners on how they do it all.
This is an online course. I’ll teach this course through video, photos, written instructions and podcasts. The lessons will be in german.
At the moment the registration is open!
